Welcome to Tri Mountain View Campground, where you can experience the beauty of nature while camping in the mountains of Shady Valley, TN.

Our small cozy campground offers a variety of sites for tent and RV camping. Constructed on a hill on a family farm by a former resident, the campground offers quiet 300 degree views of the surrounding mountains. Built on a third Generation Dairy Farm after the sale of all the Cattle in late 90s, we’ve planted over three thousand trees on property mostly Walnuts,Oaks and Apples with a few rarely seen White Walnut(Butternut) and American Filbert(Hazelnut) Campers can harvest all they want in October.

13 foot Yurt setting on a 16 foot wood deck with queen bed and extra air queen bed

A remote site away from others where you can bring your own generator. You may use the main campground dump station, water and shower house but is too far for wifi to work there.

About Shady Valley

Shady Valley, TN is a small town located in the northeastern corner of Tennessee, surrounded by beautiful natural scenery. The valley is speckled with friendly folk and small farms surrounded like bowl crested with Appalachian Mountain peaks. We are miles away from the hustle and bustle of cities, but our campround it just a short drive of a major 2 lane highway and will not be hard to reach with your rig. There are 4 ways to get into shady Valley, 3 of them are across the mountains with curves, including 421 known as "The Snake," popular with motorcycles. The easiest way to get in and out of the valley is route 133 by Damascas but the other roads are passable as well. Here are some of the available attractions in and around Shady Valley:

  1. Backbone Rock Recreation Area: A popular destination for hiking, picnicking, and camping, with a natural tunnel through a massive rock formation.

  2. Cherokee National Forest: A vast wilderness area with hiking trails, scenic drives, and opportunities for fishing, camping, and wildlife viewing.

  3. Virginia Creeper Trail: A 34-mile rail trail that runs from Abingdon, VA, to Whitetop Station, VA, passing near Shady Valley along the way.

  4. Laurel Fork Falls: A beautiful waterfall located in the Cherokee National Forest, accessible by hiking trail.

  5. Watauga Lake: A large lake located just a short drive from Shady Valley, offering boating, fishing, and swimming opportunities.

  6. Roan Mountain State Park: A scenic park located on the border of Tennessee and North Carolina, with hiking trails, camping facilities, and a swimming pool.
